Sharp Starts its Aquos Quattron TV Line
All the bigs names are in for the race to the 3D TV. Samsung, Sony, LG and Toshiba… All of them? No, Sharp seems to be preoccupied by something else… Something big… the Quattron TV. Luckily for sharp, the attraction of the 3D TV has left the Quattron market wide open and fairly unguarded. As a matter of fact, Sharp is probably alone in the race and has been making strong progress on its new line of Quattron LCD TVs. These TVs use the Quad Pixel Technology. Connoisseurs have probably already seen Star Trek’s George Takei promoting this new line of TV in a some recently released ads for the TV (Quattron TV?).
Many reviewers mention that Quattron is the best image humanity has ever seen in a regular TV. According to them, after you see a Quattron TV, you will wonder how you did not realize how unrealistic tv images were until Quattron came in. The Quattron simply uses an addition to RGB. The problem with the RGB colorspace is that it only occupies a tiny fraction of the whole colorspace that we can perceive. So , the addition of a fourth color, the yellow color, in the Quattron series of tv’s, allows this colorspace to be greatly expanded, which results in much clearer, and much more realistic colors.
